What is a good CPS?
Clicks per second is your total clicks divided by the time in seconds. Typical results are:
- 4–6 CPS: average for normal clicking
- 7–9 CPS: fast, roughly what keen gamers reach
- 10–14 CPS: very fast, usually with techniques such as jitter clicking
- 15+ CPS: butterfly or drag clicking with a suitable mouse
Clicking techniques
Jitter clicking tenses the forearm to vibrate the finger. Butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Drag clicking slides a finger across the button so friction produces many clicks. Take breaks: hard clicking for long periods can strain your wrist and hand.
The timer starts on your first click and stops exactly at the end, and clicks after time are ignored. Your best score for each duration is saved only in this browser. Also try the spacebar counter and typing test.
