What each filter does
- Brightness scales every pixel lighter or darker. 100% is the original.
- Contrast pushes darks darker and lights lighter.
- Saturation controls colour intensity: 0% is grayscale and 200% is very vivid.
- Hue rotate shifts all colours around the colour wheel, which is fun for creative effects.
- Blur softens the image. A little blur can hide noise in low-light photos.
- Sepia and Invert give vintage and negative effects.
Presets are starting points that set several sliders at once: Vivid boosts colour and contrast, Vintage adds sepia and fades contrast, Noir is high-contrast black and white, and Cool and Warm shift the colour temperature.
