Google released EmbeddingGemma 2, an open 740M-parameter model that puts text, code, images, video and audio into one vector space. Here is how to run it in Python on a normal CPU, load just the 270M text part, use the right prompts, shrink vectors to 256 dimensions and fix the install errors I hit.
