Best JPEG Quality Setting for Web, Email and Print (We Tested 40 to 100)
For most web photos, a JPEG quality setting between 75 and 85 gives the best balance of sharpness and file size. Use 85 to 90 for portfolio images and prints you'll edit later, and avoid 100, which creates much larger files with almost no visible improvement.
