How to Check Your Browser Extensions for Malware (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari)

To check your browser extensions for malware, open chrome://extensions, edge://extensions, Firefox's about:addons or Safari's Extensions settings, remove anything you don't recognise, then check each remaining extension's permissions, site access and source. If one won't go, run a malware scan.
